WildThing & Modified WildThing on knees – giving me a big stretch in the front of my body and a sense of expansion & freedom!

Why did you start doing yoga?

Due to an injury, I was unable to attend my usual high-intensity gym class and thought to try yoga in the interim. After my first class, I was hooked!

Why did you become a teacher?

After experiencing more calmness and balance in my own life—and so much more—I wanted to share it with others. Yoga helps me stay grounded and present, releases tension, and helps me through challenging things in my life!

How do you describe your teaching style?

An inviting and kind energy to bring everyone back to themselves with grace. My Vinyasa classes are creative and fun, with a bit of courage & strength thrown in – and deeply connected to body & breath awareness.
My Yin classes are deeply nourishing with a focus on self-kindness.

What has yoga taught you?

So many lessons & learnings through the years of practicing & teaching; but perhaps the biggest learning for me personally, is to go with the flow – and not let perfection stand in the way of living my life fully!

What do you want students to know?

Moving your body is a gift and medicine to your mood & your soul – and it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beneficial!
And in an age of busyness and striving, nothing is more nourishing for our bodies and our nervous system than consciously softening and resting in practices like Yin Yoga.
