Favourite pose?

My favourite pose is Savasana, where I can let go after a good class. An active pose would be Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana), where I can dangle and release any tension in my back and neck. I find the pose calming and allow me to check in with how my mind and body are feeling each time.

Why did you start doing yoga?

I started doing yoga to stretch out sore muscles from working as an aerobics instructor (it was the 1990s!!) and playing sports. I quickly fell in love with the practice because it not only improved my physical well-being but also brought a sense of peace to my daily life.

Why did you become a teacher?

I became a teacher after a few difficult life events where yoga helped me find calm and discover my inner strength so I wanted to share the incredible benefits of yoga with others.

How do you describe your teaching style?

I strive to create a welcoming environment where students of all levels feel comfortable and encouraged to explore their own personal practice. My classes are a blend of alignment-focused instruction and flowing sequences designed to build both strength and flexibility.

What has yoga taught you?

Yoga has taught me the importance of being present and living in the moment. It has shown me how to find balance in all aspects of my life and has deepened my understanding of self-compassion and resilience.

What do you want students to know?

I want students to know that yoga is a personal journey, and there is no right or wrong way to practice. Every body is unique, and the most important thing is to listen to your own body and honour its needs. Yoga is for everyone, and it’s never too late to start!
